About TANECU LTD

Tandahimba Newala Cooperative Union (TANECU) Limited is a long-established cooperative business entity, originally registered in 1995 under the Co-operative Societies Act No. 15 of 1991 with registration number 5512. In 2023, the organization updated its registration and name to TANECU LTD with the new registration number AFF-MTR-NWL-TC-2023-61. TANECU’s mission is to provide agricultural services and inputs, supporting farmers with essential resources such as jute (gunny) bags and pesticides. Over the years, TANECU has earned the trust of both farmers and the Government, thanks to initiatives aimed at improving farmer welfare and promoting access to critical agricultural inputs. Today, TANECU represents over 100,000 cashew nut farmers through 203 Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS) across Tandahimba and Newala Districts. Headquartered at Nangwala Street, Newala, TANECU LTD also operates branches in Tandahimba and Mtwara Town, serving the southern regions of Tanzania.
